Teen Programs During Winter Break

There are several programs going on next week at the library during Winter Break:


Teen Wii Game Night
Tuesday, Dec. 29 from 3:00PM to 5:00PM in the Community Room
Open to teens in 6th grade and above



READ n' WATCH
Wednesday, Dec 30 at 3:45 come watch the movie version of Carl Hiaasen's Hoot and stay after for pizza and a discussion of the book/movie. Please register at the circulation desk and get your free copy of the book to keep. Everyone is welcome to come and watch the movie. Those in 4th grade and above are invited to stay for the pizza/discussion.


Teen C rafters
Are you crafty, and by crafty I mean can you glue things together? Then come to the library on Thursday, Dec. 31 at 2:00 PM to make Marble Magnets that you can put on a refrigerator or your locker. Open to teens in 6th grade and above.

Do you have any suggestions for an item we should own in the Teen Collection? Have you come to the library looking for a title and not found it? Then add that to the Teen Collection Suggestion Box. Please give the title and author or any other info that would help me to identify it. All requests for purchases (including books, CDs, DVDs, games, magazines, etc.) will be taken seriously, but ultimately must comply with the Library's Collection Development policy. Tomorrow is Wii Game Night!!


Stop by the Library tomorrow anytime from 4:30 to around 6:00 to play the Wii. I start cleaning up at 6:30. We have Guitar Hero World Tour, Mario Kart, and Wii Sports. There will be refreshments. Open to all Middle and High School Students.

November Teen Book Club

Give a Hoot about the environment?

Dobbs Ferry Teen Book Club

October Teen Programs

The Teen Advisory Group (TAG) is made up of youth volunteers (middle and high school students) who help determine the direction the Library takes in serving the teen community. They help the YA Librarian keep up-to-date in what’s going on in the teen world!

Role of TAG member may include the following:
· meet new people
· help plan teen programs
· attend meetings
· assist in selecting books, magazines, movies, and music for teen collection
· work on creating new displays in the teen area
· earn community service hours!
