Jane is on leave for Christmas from Life House, the mental
hospital, where she has spent the last year.
And although she is excited, it is not because she is going home. In fact, Christmas only serves to remind her
of her father’s suicide and her family history of suicide. She is excited about the plane ride and the
“plan”- she intends to kill herself in the plane’s bathroom by taking a lethal
concoction of pills. She may get her
wish to die, but it is certainly not going to be planned. The plane hits a
storm and crashes in the mountains during a blizzard; Jane and Paul, a teen
adventurist, are the only survivors. A
nail-biting wilderness survival story, along the lines of Hatchet, that readers won’t want to put down.
